‘60 is an eccentric new-age artist who specializes in singing, songwriting and music production. Throughout the last few years, ’60 has embarked on a journey to create music that transcends the stereotypical idea of what it means to make west African music. As a self-taught producer and vocalist, ’60 has been able to blend the two skillsets by consolidating elements from a multitude of genres.
On his latest single ‘Night & Day, ’60 delivers an up-tempo melody which is accompanied by an ethereal bass line. The lead melody sits on a modern bouncy drum pattern which is then highlighted by its dynamic range. The saxophone further adds to the texture by giving the instrumental more of an authentic traditional feel to it.
